Free Short Story

(Minor spoilers for The Vein, so definitely read that one first)

It's 1865 and Len and Frank are discouraged about getting skunked by the California Gold Rush. 

​

A rumor of untouched silver in the mountains of Idaho seems too good to be true, but upon arrival, the men find that it is indeed true. Nobody is there. 

​

But laying a claim won't be as easy as they think, especially when they must fight for their lives against an evil they never saw coming.
